A joyous celebration of music by the great Johann Sebastian Bach to open our Anniversary Season 30! Though Bach wrote vast quantities of sacred choral music, he also wrote a large number of magnificent instrumental works, and this concert focuses on four delightful compositions dating from his time as director of the Collegium Musicum in Leipzig. The program includes two concertos for keyboard, featuring Maestro Radu playing and conducting from the Bösendorfer Concert Grand Piano; a concerto for viola (a rarity in the Baroque period); and a double concerto for violin and oboe—the performances complemented by the superb acoustics of Daylesford Abbey.

Running Time: 2 hours including one intermission.
