St Martin-in-the-Fields, Chestnut Hill

8000 St. Martin’s Lane
Philadelphia, PA 19118

Designed in 1895 by brother architects George W. and William D. Hewitt, St. Martin-in-the-Fields is evocative of the late Victorian Gothic style. Its architecture features a columned, cruciform Gothic design, making a terrific stone decor. Featuring tan, black and burnt orange, it manages to be bright and airy while still possessing some of the dark corners associated with warm neo-gothic style. It is a warm and intimate space.

Parking is available in the church lot at Willow Grove & St. Martin’s Lane, along the streets, at SEPTA’s St. Martin station, and in the science building lot at SCH Academy. Public Transportation: St. Martin’s is just a few steps from the St. Martin’s stop of SEPTA’s Chestnut Hill West line (formerly the R8 line). Walk up the hill, toward the overpass, and make a left. The church is ahead on your right at the first intersection.
