Sparkling gems by a range of Baroque composers—some well known, others less so—for recorder, flute, violin and orchestra. Highlights include three firsts for our programming: a concerto grosso by English composer Charles Avison, a flute concerto by French composer Michel Blavet, and a violin concerto by Giuseppe Brescianello. Also featured are Telemann’s thrilling double concerto for flute and recorder and Bach’s spectacular Brandenburg Concerto No. 4, for solo violin, recorder, flute and orchestra —all with Maestro’s customary “live notes”!
Running Time: 90 minutes with no intermission.
